The 18808 antenna is used in RAWS stations that transmit data via the TX312 GOES satellite transmitter. It is a Yagi RHCP (Right-Hand Circular Polarized) antenna with a gain of 11.0 dBic. Yagi antennas must be "aimed" at the proper azimuth and inclination to "hit" the assigned satellite. A 18805 cable connects the 18808 antenna to the TX312 transmitter. This antenna is shipped with the 18692 RAWS Communication Package, and it is available as a replacement item.
