Calibration Service IRGASON Zero and Span Procedure

Overview

The IRGASON Zero and Span service allows customers to send their IRGASON to Campbell Scientific and have Campbell Scientific perform a zero and span procedure. Before sending anything back, please contact us to obtain an RMA number. It is recommended that the zero and span procedure should be completed when ambient conditions change significantly (i.e., seasonally).

Please note that the IRGASON Zero and Span service is performed on the Gas Analyser only, testing on the sonic anemometer is a separate service. Contact us for more information.

Technical Description

With time, as with all optical instruments, the IRGASON gas analyzer can experience some drift in signal offset and gain, especially under varying environmental conditions, therefore routine maintenance should periodically include zero and span procedures.

Campbell Scientific recommends that a new instrument, or an instrument that has been moved to a new location should have a monthly zero and span procedure performed. If the IRGASON is being used on a site experiencing large seasonal changes in ambient conditions, then the zero and span procedure should be done at least seasonally.
