Pulling to ground | Pulling to float | Iridium9602 Sleep Line

ZMS Jun 5, 2017 03:20 PM

Hi!

In controlling the sleep line for an Iridium 9602 modem, the line is held high by default.  I can 'pull it to ground' to put it to sleep, and further 'pull it to float' to wake it back up.

My incliniation is to use PortSet on either an SE channel or Control port to assign this relative difference, however my gut tells me that setting a port high or low is not necessarily the same as pulling it to float or ground.

Are these terms congruent in terms of CSI logger ports?

Is there functionality in this respect found among digital ports, but perhaps not analog ports?

Any insight would be most appreciated!

Best,

Zach

I have generally switched the 12V going to the 9602 to completely cut off power when not in use.
