Ethernet connection between a CR6 and CR1000X

Hello all - 

I am trying to connect a CR6 and a CR1000x together using the ethernet port on each device. Is this possible? 

Some background. CR6 is part of existing pakbus network with multiple loggers across a site. Installed CR1000x in the same box with a cell modem. Would like to be able to route through the 1000x to the CR6 to have remote access to the existing pakbus network. 

If more info is needed let me know and I post specifics.

It is possible.

Set static IP addresses in both dataloggers, within the same subnet. Ex. 192.168.0.2   192.168.0.3

IsRouter setting in CR1000X set to True

Unique Pakbus addresses on all the dataloggers.

Set Pakbus/TCPClients entry in CR6 to point to IP address of CR1000X.
