Pakbus link query.

Hi Folks,

We have a CR1000 logger (with NL115)   at a remote location on a local network. This logger is accessed from outside the local network.

We are thinking of adding another CR1000 and NL115 to that system so that both loggers will be at the remote location .

What is the best way to access the second logger ? Will pakbus offer a solution ?

Will the original CR1000 need to be set as a router ? Both loggers will need different pakbus addresses ?

Any thoughts welcomed.

Here is one way to go about it:

New datalogger must be a different Pakbus address than the existing datalogger.

In existing datalogger, IsRouter setting must be set to true.

In new datalogger, put the local IP address of existing datalogger in the Pakbus TCP Client setting in Network Services settings.
