Overview

The 40718, manufactured by Ocean Insight, is a tungsten-halogen calibrated light source covering Vis-NIR wavelengths in the 350 to 1100 nm range. The calibration lamp is radiometrically calibrated for use with a FluoreSens™10 fiber-optic cable and CC-3 cosine corrector. The 40718 provides known absolute intensity values expressed in µW/cm²/nm and in radiant flux in µW/nm.

The spectral intensity of the 40718 conforms to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards, meeting the calibration requirements of the FluoreSens 10 Sun-Induced Chlorophyll Fluorescence (SIF) SystemThe 40718 is required to calibrate the FluoreSens 10 before the system is used for the first time or anytime the fiber-optic cable is removed and reattached.
